Moyang Melur (Malaysia). In the beginning of human evolution, humans had no rules to live by and were constantly committing murder, incest and cannibalism. Legend has it that at the time, the rules were kept secret by a spirit named Moyang Melur, who was half human and half tiger, and dwelled on the Moon. Being curious one night, he leaned too far out to see the chaos on the Earth below and accidentally tumbled down to Earth. Once on Earth, he met a hunter by the name of Moyang Kapir, to whom he swore that if he did not get back to the Moon at once, he would destroy the entire human race. After hearing that, the hunter managed to throw a rope up to the Moon and they both climbed up together. Secretly, Moyang Melur wanted to eat Moyang Kapir but the hunter figured it out and escaped swiftly down the rope to Earth, taking with him the secret bag of Rules for Human Behaviour, which he had found in Moyang Melur's hut on the Moon. Through Moyang Kapir, these important codes of proper human conduct was passed down to his people and they soon changed their evil ways.
